About Us

Dedicated to preserving those voices of our Missionary Baptist past, we are pleased to provide this website as an avenue to “stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance.” We hope, with your help, to build a historical library, to include a collection of sermons, songs, as well as photographic documents of those baptismal services of yesteryear that our hearts long to see again. For some, it may be the first time hearing the voices, or seeing the sights, of those saints they have heard spoken of so often before. Our hope, our prayer and our purpose are to preserve what portion we can of our local Missionary Baptist History for our generation, as well as those that follow. May it prove to be a blessing to each one who chooses to listen and peruse. May God receive all honor and glory from any effort here.

Join Our Effort

As this is a historical website, please keep in mind some of these sermons will have been preached as much as 78 years ago, as we have one dating 1944. The quality of some recordings will be proof of the antiquated recording means. A lot of these will have been preserved on cassette. The age of the cassettes, depending on how they were stored, is going to make it imperative to convert over to electronic format in the near future to avoid further deterioration, or loss, of the precious historical value contained therein.

If you have items that you think would be of interest to others, we would be glad to work with you to provide those items on this website. We will only place items on this website from those that have gone on to their reward. You can contact us at mbvotp@gmail.com. Digitized/Electronic formats will be preferred and work best, but we realize most do not have the capabilities to submit in that format. If you choose for us to convert them, we can work that out. (Disclaimer: Items provided to us will be cherished and carefully preserved as best we can and returned to you if at all possible. However, please keep in mind that these cassettes/photos are probably showing their age. We will make every effort to preserve them but cannot guarantee that the process of digitizing them will not damage them, even to the point they can no longer be used.)
